This report summarizes the findings of a two-year project funded by The Joyce Foundation to identify effective ways to integrate immigrants into the workforce. Input was received from a national Advisory Committee of 41 individuals, and participants in seven community forums. The report is organized according to the seven major lessons learned by the project, one of which is that "strategies directed explicitly at immigrants must be components of a broader range of initiatives that support the entire workforce." The report is noteworthy for its attention to the diverse backgrounds and needs of immigrants including both lower skilled immigrants and foreign-trained professionals.
